23 December 2020, Cofimvaba, South Africa – El-Fakazei releases a beautiful remix for his song “Zitha” and features musical pioneers.
Zitha Remix is a soulful Maskandi song which is fused with a bit of Afro-pop and Rap. The song is self-explanatory to those who understand isiXhosa and isiZulu, it’s a song about enemies who don’t want to see a person progress but the person continues to win regardless and doesn’t let negative energies drain them. It encourages focus and determination in all that one does to get ahead in life.
El-Fakazei features two men he grew up looking up to in his village, Ta-Feya and DJ Zer’ongenambobo who come with more experience and flair of Maskandi vocals as it’s a sound they grew up to in Matatiele. Afrotainment super producer Joejo lends the beautiful beat to the guitar by El-Fakazei and Xhosa rap pioneer Maxhoseni drops a flamed verse to sum up the song to a flamed collaboration which will go down in history.
El-Fakazei is a talented vocalist and guitarist and he hopes to make a name for himself in the South African music industry.
